Designing and decorating a home, whether it’s a new build, your first home or a renovation can be very stressful, overwhelming and time consuming for some people. I get it, I’ve been there, decorated, renovated and built new. With my knowledge I am here to guide you through the process and create the beautiful space you have always wanted. All project begins with a design consultation to discuss your project.
DESIGN CONSULTATION
$300 for an initial Design Consultation (1.5 – 2 hours).
A comprehensive in-home consultation tailored to the project you are wanting to complete. I will discuss the needs of your family home based on the lifestyle you want to live and the aesthetic you want to create.
The consult will include the following:
A walk through of your home to discuss areas of concern, how you want to use the areas and how you want to feel when you are in the areas.
We will discuss space planning, storage options, furnishings that you may wish to keep and new pieces that you may want purchase.
I will discuss your design style via colours you may love, inspirational pictures you may have, the style of home you are wanting to create or enhance or finishes you have seen elsewhere.
I will provide initial design solution options
A follow up report with initial design thoughts as discussed.
When you book a design consult, I will send you a short questionnaire to complete prior to our meeting so I can get to know you and your project and we can make the most of our time together.
INTERIOR DESIGN
Julie Long Interiors provides full interior design services for both renovations and new builds that takes all the stress out of the building process, and saves on time and money with timely decisions. This includes concept design, space planning, fixture and fitting selection, bespoke cabinetry and furniture design, colour scheme selection, as well as soft furniture sourcing.
Fee based on scope discussed in initial consult.
DECORATION
A new colour scheme, furniture layout or soft furnishings can give a room the feel you have always wanted.
Fee based on scope discussed in initial consult.
COLOUR CONSULTANCY
Julie enjoys putting together colour stories for both interiors and exteriors. Julie believes that colour can affect your family’s mood, and as such loves to use colour to reflect this.

WHAT TO EXPECT
All my projects go through a 5 phase process:
Phase 1 – Initial Design Consultation
Get to the bottom of the changes you want to make to your home and why.
Phase 2 – Concept Development
Create the mood and feeling you want for your space.
Develop floor plan to suit families lifestyle.
Present suggested fixtures, fittings and furnishings.
Phase 3 – Design Documentation
Put together the plan on how we will transform your space.
This includes:
Scaled plans, elevations and set outs
Lighting & electrical plans
Fixtures and fittings schedules
Phase 4 – Design Implementation
Make the change happen with the bank of trades and suppliers I have or work with your own builder.
Coordinate and arrange purchase of items such as fixtures, fittings and lighting.
Phase 5 – Furnishing and Styling
Develop a design concept for furniture, soft furnishings and art. This is done in conjunction with Phase 2 so that the overall concept is cohesive and timely.
This includes:
Supplier visits
Procurement of items and
Help to style the home once delivery has taken place
